Year 2011:
Bill was most pleased and honoured to be asked to produce a painting and limited edition fine art prints to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Moly-Cop Canada.
Prints were distributed to far away places as the United States, Chile and Australia.
To come up with the "right Kamloops scene" painting, Bill tried to think of a familiar scene that employees have grown attached to during their daily drives to and from work. He found it driving along that same route. The commemorative painting "Kamloops 2011" was the result. It depicts the scene that the observers subconsciously know and love - something that is "very Kamloops": its bright blue sky, the Ponderosa Pine, the hoodoos, the sage brush, and the river receding to the distance. This "familiar" view in the right perspective gives the observer a "settled, laid back, relaxed and enjoy feel".
It is now a quarter century that Moly-Cop Canada has been in Kamloops, and many things have changed, especially in this area. This painting "Kamloops 2011" shows there is still something timeless in the surrounding landscape, something "rugged, calm, and peaceful" that is uniquely Kamloops, a source of energy for the next 25 years for Moly-Cop Canada and its employees.
